Surrounded by a forest, soaking in hot springs and enjoying local food

Kerrie Sanso is located in Ichirino Onsen, at the foot of Mt Hakusan.

It is about a 60-minute drive from Kanazawa City.

From early summer to autumn, you can access Shirakawa-go through the beautiful scenery of the White Road.

Hakusan has long been known as a sacred mountain of Japan’s ancient mountain worship, where the mountain priests practiced rigorous asceticism.

Kerrie Sanso stands at the entrance to the Kaga-Zenjodo trail, one of the most demanding mountain paths leading to the summit.

Stay forest, Hakusan wellness

The fresh mountain air flowed in through the fully opened doors and windows and blew through every corner of the building.

The sound of the footsteps and voices of the busy staff coming and going, awakening the mountain lodge from its three year sleep.

The hot springs have finally reopened, too.

You can enjoy the hot water that gushes from the natural monument Iwama’s group of fountain towers from the sacred mountain Hakusan in copious amounts, and enjoy the hot water of the spring water in the large bath in the hut.

You can enjoy a slow soak in the hot spring, and feast on wild vegetables in spring, mushrooms in autumn, and gibier in winter.

In addition, you can listen to the manager’s secret jazz and blues records while savoring a cup of coffee carefully brewed for you, or work on your telework in a quiet room in the lodge while gazing at the greenery drenched in rain, adding to the charm of this new style of stay.

You will be buried in the forest of the white mountains and return to your simple self.

There is a movable dining table inspired by the kerria (Latin: kerria) flower, from which the name “Kerrie” is derived.

The menu features a lineup of seasonal dishes made from the bounty of the Hakusan mountains. You can also look forward to the Hakusan Bouillabaisse, which is made from locally caught wild boar, smoked mushrooms, and other forest ingredients.

For breakfast, we have a selection of rice porridge made with onsen water, as well as sudachi noodle and hot sandwiches.

Workcation in the woods

Free wifi is available throughout the building, and we’ve also set up a “Forest Work Room” for meetings and Zoom conferences.

We also recommend staying as a “workcation”, a new way of traveling in the era of With Corona.
For longer stays, we can offer special rates.
Please contact us in advance.

Hi, I’m Adachi, the manager.

Good hot water, good people, and good accommodations.

The Hakusan Ichirino field surrounded by the primordial forest.

The bosom of Mother Nature is deep. You can enjoy nature actively or relax and feel the breath of the mountain.

We don’t have fancy furniture and services, but we think the best thing about Kerrie Sanso is that you can experience nature as it is.

We would like to help you experience the richness of a peaceful life away from daily life.

In the wake of the Corona fiasco, the travel industry in Japan is undergoing a major change, the likes of which it has never experienced before. Even after Corona, the style of travel will change drastically.

Nevertheless, the Kerrie Sanso, an inn at the foot of Mt. Hakusan, has a hot spring, an abundance of nature, and even Wi-Fi – even in the wake of the Corona disaster, there’s no better place to stay.

All I have to do now is to invite you all to enjoy it and relax to your heart’s content.

It takes about an hour from Kanazawa and about 50 minutes from Komatsu Airport.

It is a bit far, but we are sure that there is something there that will satisfy you.

There are no convenient convenience stores or fashionable restaurants here.
There are only shade trees, starry skies and hot springs. In winter, there is only snow and hot springs.

If you are happy with that, please come to this “Hakusan Ichirino Onsen Kerrie Sanso”.
We’ll be waiting for you.
